Do:
- Get inspiration from online examples
- Create a video when it's one of the application requirements
- Look professional in front of the camera, wear appropriate clothing
- Research the company/position you're applying for
- Write a script, prepare notes
- Get feedback from your peers, family, friends, co-workers (the more feedback the better)
- Show your personality
- Showcase relevant skills, expertise
- Have fun!
Don’ts
- Don't send out your video resume if you got feedback that it might be offensive
- If you're not happy with the result, the quality is not up to your standard don’t send it out (sometimes it might do more harm than good)
- Don't try to include everything you've done
- Don't just read out your resume
- Don't criticise your previous employer
- Don't get too personal
